I’m a 23 year old student who has been in love with startups since I was 16. I’ve created 3 startups so far, and excited to create more as I get more of that grey matter (and hair). Most of my work so far has been in education technology (Tech in Asia was nice to me last year and featured me on their website – here’s the link if you really really want to know what these startups were).
Going forward, very interested to work with people solving problems like online crime, terrorism, etc. Also super keen on NLP startups.
I’m not just into creating startups – I like working for them too. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work for some (very talented) startup founders in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Singapore and New Delhi. Here’s a list. If you get the chance, I highly recommend working for any or all of them (I didn’t put the bad ones on the list).
Apart from tech and startups, I like other things too. I study psychology and computer science at Yale-NUS. I travel sometimes, and when I travel, I sometimes write about it on my blog. When I’m not doing any of the above, I’m either hiking, going for yoga classes, biking or consuming enormous amounts of caffeine at a hipster cafe.
Lastly, I should tell you – I’ve had some crazy moments in the past. One of them when I dropped out of law school at 18 because I didn’t want to be a lawyer. But thankfully nothing too terrible happened. I started my first company the following week. This amazing award-winning book called 2 Billion Under 20 featured my story – check out the book here.
